two buds and a blossom

So maybe you've been wondering what I've been up to during my summer vacation so far... maybe you haven't, but I'll tell you anyway. At first I was kind of bored so I started to occupy my time by going to the Weaverville Public Library once a week to get books to read. So far I've read Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal, which was kind of a strange concept but it was pretty good, and Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen and it was great, the movie was good too. Now I'm reading To Have and Have Not by Ernest Hemingway and The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Hemingway is one of my favorite authors so I might try to read all of his books this summer, any other book suggestions?

Anyway, as much as I love reading I was feeling kind of unproductive still so I was so excited when my friend Kimberly contacted me about designing a logo and website for her new florist and event planning business, Two Buds and a Blossom. Kimberly and her friend Kerry, the "two buds," are incredibly talented, if you live in the Asheville area you should definitely look them up! Check out the website I designed for them here.
I'm also spending my abundant free time babysitting and working on restoring some antique furniture to take with me to Denver, more about that later!
