If you've never been to Yosemite National Park you should go... it's beautiful. I'm always amazed at how different the landscape can look just within the U.S. For instance, I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and felt like I knew mountains pretty well, so you can imagine my surprise when I first visited Denver and saw the Rockies for the first time... those mountains are way different than the ones I grew up in. Well now I live next to the Rockies and was expecting that California mountains would basically look like the ones in Colorado... nope. They aren't pointed or jagged like the Rockies, but most are flatter and rounded on the top.
One of the advantages to visiting Yosemite in the summer is that the snow melting off the mountains creates tons of waterfalls. It seemed like there was a waterfall around every corner that we went around and all of them were different. So we went directly against the advice of TLC and went chasing waterfalls...

Amazing!!! Thanks for sharing.
